The Rise of Decentralised Finance
It was a thrilling free one-day online conference held on 5 August 2021. The conference explored two of the most exciting emerging trends within the industry in the last couple of decades: DeFi and Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs).
In the DeFi coin panel, participants explored the causes behind the growth of decentralised finance and its effects on the financial system, as well as the market participants, such as in international transfer of funds, lending and borrowing derivatives, trading, transfers of assets and payments.
In the NFT track participants discussed the situation of NFTs as well as copyright concerns as well as the top NFT marketplaces and platforms for creation as well as the legal implications and direction for NFTs.
The future is definitely exciting for both the DeFi and NFTs. The decentralisation movement is likely to have a major impact in the coming years.
